The next examination will be administered through authorized ACT test centers across the United States during the period of April 2 - 23, 2011.When is information available for the next exam?2011 application materials will be available mid-summer 2010. The 2010 Bulletin of Information is available as a reference, and can be accessed by clicking here. Please note that the 2011 application materials are currently in development, and are subject to change.How much is the exam?The 2011 Certification Exam cost is $1,780 if received by the early filing deadline of September 1, 2010 and $1,980 if received by the final filing deadline of October 1, 2010. The 2011 Recertification Exam cost is $1,350 if received by the early filing deadline of September 1, 2010 and $1,550 by the final filing deadline of October 1, 2010.What is the pass rate for the exam?It varies, but overall, the pass rate is the upper 80%.What is the time frame for recertification?Is there a list of references available?All Diplomates who certified in 1999 and after hold a time limited certificate that lasts for 10 years. Diplomates may recertify within 7 to 10 years after their initial Certification Examination.
No certification extensions will be granted for Diplomates holding certificates that expire in 2010 and beyond.
In the event that certification status lapses, the former Diplomate can only regain certified status by applying for the certification exam, meeting all applicable criteria, and successfully completing the certification examination.
